Clive Bayley, music composer and musician in the band Mabel Greer’s Toyshop. The group was active between in 1966 and 1968 and reformed in 2014.
Clive was already in a band and playing gigs at the age of thirteen. At the age of sixteen he was composing, playing guitar and singing with Mabel Greer's Toyshop. Since that time his musical influences have come from far and wide. From US southern blues to Middle Eastern, Balkan and Indian styles that can all be heard in his current compositions and playing. To mark the 100 year anniversary of the beginning of the First World War, Clive wrote a theme album entitled for King And Country.
Mabel Greer's Toyshop reformed in 2014 and released a new album on March 9, 2015 entitled "New Way Of Life". The album contains a selection of material written in the 60's with YES bass player Chris Squire and new songs all penned by Bayley. The album was co-produced by current Yes bass player Billy Sherwood who also played some bass parts and featured ex-Mabel and Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye.
